My first editorial, my first time to the beautiful state of Pennsylvania, and my first time shooting film all day… this shoot at the Merion Tribute House was a dream come true!
Jenna Tracy Events and Barrie Anne Photography teamed up to style this beautiful day and workshop. For me, it was like a mini-vacation and a great opportunity to spread my wings and push myself to learn a new medium – film.
I left DFW early in the morning on November 3 to fly to the very historic city of Philadelphia. With it being Election Day, I was even more excited to explore the city! My first stop was the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall. After exploring and re-learning some great history, I went back to the hotel to prep for the shoot the following day.
The next day, I woke up ready to learn! After the morning workshop, we split into groups of three where I found myself paired with Vanessa Marie Photography. And OH BOY was this pairing so good for me! Vanessa let me ask her questions all day about settings and how to navigate shooting film. She is to thank for this new passion I have for the medium! (THANK YOU TREMENDOUSLY, VANESSA!) Y’all go check her out… she’s pretty great.
Getting to work with so many great vendors was also a blessing. With every detail planned to perfection, the day was stunning, whimsical, and oh-so-romantic. Check out the complete vendor list at the bottom of this entry (plus one vendor shoutout for her huge impact on my business this year)!
